Sheila Sexton

Sheila D. Sexton, age 67, died unexpectedly Monday May 8, 2023, at her home in rural Decorah.

There will be no formal services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Plymouth Rock/St. Agnes Cemetery – 37699 State Line Rd. Mabel MN, 55954

Sheila Diane Sexton was born May 30, 1955, the daughter of Parnell and Betty (Kohlila) Sexton in Cresco. She attended North Winneshiek School and after graduation, she attended Area One in Calmer for two years for an administrative Clerical Degree. Following graduation, she started work for Prudential Life Insurance Company in Rochester, Minn., and retired 20 years later and moved back to the Decorah area to help with the farming. Sheila was devoted to the family farm, and especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, solving word search puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her siblings: Steve (Ellen) Sexton of Decorah, Sam Sexton of Decorah, and Stella (Dave) Mathieu of Lakeville Minn.; nieces & nephews: Shane Sexton of Decorah, Steven Sexton of Decorah, Stacia Sexton of Decorah, Sean Mathieu of Lakeville Minn., Sarah (Jeff) Kormanik of Gilbert, Ariz., and Megan Hageman of West Union.

Sheila was proceeded in death by her parents: Parnell and Betty (Koliha) Sexton, and brother, Scott Sexton.
