Mark Sutton, age 87, of Decorah, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2016, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Decorah, Iowa, with Rev. Phil Gibbs presiding. Burial will be in St. Benedict’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Visitation is after 9:30 a.m. at the church Friday morning. Mark’s survivors include his two daughters: Colleen (Bob) Kacher, Clive, IA and Lou Ann (Greg) Eaton, Apple Valley, MN. Three sons: Jim Sutton, Decorah, IA;  John (Gerri) Sutton, Cottage Grove, MN; Bob (Brenda) Sutton, Decorah, IA.  Nine grandchildren: Kiley Kacher, Brandon Kacher, Kelsey Eaton, Katie Eaton, Josh Sutton, Ashley Sutton, Stephanie (Zach) Fromm, Jenna (Peyton) Haynes and Austin Sutton. One sister: Imelda (Emmett) Nesteby, Lansing, IA.  One brother-in-law: John Schupanitz, Cedar Rapids, IA.  Two sisters-in-law: Margaret Carolan, Decorah, IA and Barbara Sutton, Decorah, IA; and Mary Schupanitz, New Hope, MN, along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence and Grace (Malanaphy) Sutton. His wife: Marcy Sutton on January 28, 2011. One brother: Vincent Sutton.  His father and mother-in-law: Hugo and Catherine (Etteldorf) Schupanitz. Three brothers-in-law: James Alberts, Eugene Carolan and Carl Schupanitz.
