LES MCCAULEY, 75, of Decorah, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at the Green Lea Manor in Mabel, Minn. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 6, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 307 West Main Street, Decorah, with Rev. Phillip Gibbs presiding. Burial is in St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery, in Bluffton. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue, Decorah, and also after 9:30 a.m., at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 307 West Main Street, Decorah. Les’ survivors include his three children: Kevin (Julie) McCauley, Center Point; Steve (Cathy) McCauley, Algona; and Michelle (Steve) Knudtson, Whitehall, Wis.; nine grandchildren: Mason, Mitchell and Madison McCauley; Kelsie, Maggie, Michael and Molly McCauley; and Dylan and Samuel Hess; one great-granddaughter, Jacie McCauley; one sister, LaVonne (Alvin) Darling, Burr Oak; brother-in-law, Keith (Mary) Garrett, La Crescent, Minn.; three sisters-in-law: Lyn (Ron) Lysne, Decorah; Joanne (Tom) Hovey, Decorah; Joyce Garrett, Reno, Nev.; along with several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. Les was preceded in death by his father and mother, Elmer and Gladys (Peterson) McCauley;  his wife, Jean Garrett McCauley, Aug. 25, 2014; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Charlene (Lenz) Garrett; one nephew, Dan Darling.
