DOROTHY SEEGMILLER, 81, of Decorah, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wis. Funeral services are at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the First United Methodist Church, 302 West Broadway, Decorah, with Rev. John Caldwell presiding. Burial is in the Phelps Cemetery, Decorah. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8, at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue, Decorah, and also after 10 a.m., at the church Wednesday morning. Dorothy is survived by her four children: Rodney (Sue Baker) Seegmiller, Ridgeway; Mark (Joan) Seegmiller, Postville; Daryl Seegmiller, Decorah; and Donna Kay (Paul) Farley, Decorah; grandchildren: Julie (Chad) Jaster, David (Amanda) Seegmiller, Cole Baker, Brad (Bianca Parks) Seegmiller, Brooke Seegmiller, Brittany (Hector) Vivero, Clint (Kristina Ryan) Seegmiller, Shannon (Brandon) Hartley, Joel Farley, Jason (Stephanie) Farley, and Jeremy (fiancé Amanda Kautz) Farley. Great grandchildren: Brady and Paige Jaster, Olivia Seegmiller, Deonte, Liland, Aliza and Berlin Seegmiller, Yosalin, Hector Jr. and Estrella Vivero, Dominic Seegmiller, Kaeley and Evynne Downing, Gage and Clara Hartley, Adalyn and Easton Farley, and Haidyn and Carson Farley; siblings: Wayne (Margaret) Seegmiller, Queen City, Mo.; Ruth (Bob) Kerns, Sun City West, Ariz.; and Fern (Jon) Schmid, Sun City West, Ariz.; one sister-in-law, Gertrude Seegmiller, Rochester, Minn.;, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and cousins. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Agnes (Sersland) Seegmiller; her husband, Horace Seegmiller, Jan. 12, 2014; two grandsons, Brian Seegmiller and Kyle Baker; one daughter-in-law, Shelly (Bartlett) Seegmiller; one brother, Orval (Pam) Seegmiller, Jr.; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Will and Louisa (Spilde) Seegmiller; one sister-in-law, Evelyn (Willet) Sampson; three brothers-in-law: Jesse (Florence) Seegmiller, Floyd Seegmiller and Telford (Evelyn) Seegmiller.
