Ashley Plagman

Ashley Marie Plagman, 27, of Waukon, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 at Gundersen Health in La Crosse, Wis.

She was born Sept. 20, 1993 to Peter and Brenda (Potter) Plagman in Elkader. Ashley graduated from Postville High School in 2012, where she participated in cross country, basketball, volleyball and cheerleading. She was also in the talented and gifted program, Upward Bound at Luther in Decorah, Iowa. Ashley continued her education at NEICC and NIACC

Throughout the years Ashley worked as a CNA at Aase Haugen and Good Samaritan Society in Waukon and Postville and most recently worked at Prairie Industries in Prairie du Chien, Wis.

Ashley’s children were her life and her family was very important to her. She was a Packer’s fan, good photographer, enjoyed watching scary movies and collecting Packers stuff and hummingbirds. Ashley also enjoyed shopping at Bath and Body Works and loved to give gifts to people

Surviving Ashley are her two children, Keegan Paul Plagman and Brayleigh Kaye Haas; special friend, Jeffrey Haas; her parents, Peter (Kimberley Heller) Plagman of Elkader, Iowa and Brenda Potter of Postville, Iowa; brothers, Shane (Mary LaBrun) Walters of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Clint Plagman of Postville, Iowa and Drew Plagman of Postville, Iowa; grandparents, Daryl Potter (Frances) of Oelwein, Iowa and Patricia Potter of Decorah, Iowa; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins.Preceding Ashley in death were her grandparents, LaVerne and Shirley Plagman; uncle, Alan Plagman; cousin, Nathan Irvin; great-grandparents, Dale (Nora) Potter, LaVerne (Minnie) Plagman, Fred (Doris) Gassman and Robert (Mary) Fish.

Services will be held at a later date.Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Postville is assisting the family arrangements.
