Meet silver jewelry experts from Sylvsmidja company, the largest producer in Norway of silver pieces for bunad, in Voss, Norway, Saturday,  March 4, at Vesterheim in Decorah. 

Meet silver jewelry experts from Sylvsmidja company, the largest producer in Norway of silver pieces for bunad, in Voss, Norway, Saturday,  March 4, at Vesterheim in Decorah. 
Sylvsmidja co-owner Anne-Kari Salbu and goldsmith Anders Fagerthun will be available in the Museum Store from 11a.m. to 2 p.m., to talk with visitors about Sylvsmidja jewelry and demonstrate silver cleaning and care techniques. Visitors are invited to bring their own personal jewelry for Fagerthun to use as demonstration pieces on the best way to clean and care for it. 
Salbu can answer questions about traditional bunad silver styles, including the well-known sølje jewelry, as well as the history of Sylvsmidja and the ways that their work has evolved to meet current fashions and trends.
