Lawn Chair series continues Thursday night

The 2024 Lawn Chair Night Concert Series continues July 11 on Washington Street with a performance by Kelly Hunt, featuring Beth Watts Nelson.

The performance is at 6 p.m.

Winneshiek County Fair is under way in Decorah

The ‘Biggest Little Fair in Iowa” is under way at the Winneshiek County Fairgrounds in Decorah. Some of the best moments of small town life are celebrated each year at the fair. This year’s fair runs July 8-13. Tuesday’s opening ceremonies included crowning of the 2024 royalty.

July book discussions announced

Dcorah Public Library staff announced five book discussions in July. The groups are open to the public and newcomers are encouraged to attend. Anyone interested should call the library at 382-3717 to learn more or to reserve a book.

From July 3 through July 7, law enforcement across the state will be on high alert for signs of drunk driving and taking necessary steps to remove these dangers from the road.

‘Bright Star’ opens Thursday
